HOW TO GET TO SEDGEFORD

By Car / Bike / Foot:
Get to King's Lynn via the A17, A47 or A10 and join the A148 that goes around the town. At the junction with the A149 take the first exit joining the A149, signposted Hunstanton. Follow the A149 past Sandringham taking the 1st exit at both the first (at Dersingham) and second roundabout (at Snettisham) with the B1440. Again follow the A149 until you reach the junction with the B1454 (at Heacham), signposted Fakenham. Turn right here and after approximately two miles, you will be in Sedgeford. Take the second turning on the right (sign posted Snettisham). If you pass the King William IV Pub you have gone too far! In approximately 200 metres this road bears sharply to the right and has a small track directly to the left, on the bend. Take this and it will lead you to the campsite. Tents and our marquee should be clearly visible from the Snettisham road and the site will be signposted SHARP.

By Rail:
There are regular rail links to King's Lynn from both London King's Cross and London Liverpool Street. Many trains from other parts of the country connect through Ely. Once you reach King's Lynn you will have to get a bus or a taxi to Sedgeford. Collection from King's Lynn train station may be available at a pre arranged time on Saturdays during the summer season.

By Air:
Sedgeford has no airport (although we now know that it is possible to land a helicopter on the site)! However, Heathrow and Gatwick airports are closely integrated into the rail network. Once you get into London you should follow the advice for Rail above.

The map above shows the centre of the village of Sedgeford and has a number of sites relevant to SHARP marked on it. They are as follows:

A - The deserted medieval village of Eaton.
B - West Hall and the Parish Church.
C - BONEYARD CAMPSITE
D - Sedgeford Hall
E - THE OLD VILLAGE HALL (our HQ)
